G.B.D.

I don't know whether this is a very early GBD or an off brand trying to look like one of the big boys. I've never come across one with the nomenclature stamped like this. There's periods after the G, B and D. and there's no metal logo on the stem. Unless it was stamped on the earlier GBD's and was buffed off.
Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting. One of Weezels pipes I just restored for him was marked "Sherlock". I have a GFB, but have not heard of a G.F.D. brand. My guess is some sort of basket pipe?

The finish looks much like GBD's Granitan, but I've never seen stamping like that.
