Things can get boring with all that natural beauty around. Perhaps you need to travel to NYC....
There is actually a flight sale from NZ on at the moment. I can get a return ticket to LA for the same price as a pound of tobacco here. If I were single, I’d come over and smoke my way through the states. I’d be saving money right

Hi all,

I’ve been lurking for a while and thought it was time to properly introduce myself.

I hail from New Zealand, smack bang in the middle of the green belt. Kiwi and avocado country mostly, citrus and truffles too.

As you probably are aware, beggars can’t be choosers when it comes to tobacco options. I have a hard time not finding something to enjoy in all tobacco, even if it just the room or pouch note.

I have 7 cobs, among other pipes.

I asked my friend fletch for any pipe recommendations - he goes by @RustiePyles CPG here from memory - and he said petes, however whenever I find one for sale I am outbid by someone with deep pockets, probably in Vegas.

I like the idea of old high grade kaywoodies, but where did they all go?

Any help for a brother at what pipes I should smoke now?

Best,

David
Are there really Hobbits there? Are you a Hobbit? Do you live in a Hobbit hole?

Hi Dave.
A big welcome from a fellow Antipodean

There is a fellow on the Forums who is fulsome in his praise for Pipes by Lee. You should find them a lot easier to come by now that he has turned his attention to cornering the Marxman pipes market

Should you be lucky enough to find a Marxman, make sure you go for a pre-54 Algerian briar. The sap is nothing short of magical, so I hear.

Try to score a Marxman 400. Those are big enough to double as a mashie should you come across a few pesky Hobbits trying to make off with your crop of Smaug weed
