I saw a post elsewhere, a rumor of a whisper (but with a picture attached) that Robert McConnell will be releasing a "Heritage Series" of blends in the "famous English" tradition.
Robert McConnell is produced by Kolhase & Kopp. If they're actually the Dunhill recipes, rather than the current Dunhill branded tobaccos, that could be very interesting, and expensive.

If that does indeed come to pass, and these are new, unique blends, then we most likely will not be seeing them sold in the US.

I am literally planning on unloading some of my Esoterica in the cellar to a Chinese tobacco dealer. I’ve been in contact, they are hungry.
Well, I'll be so bold to request that, if you are so inclined, I would like the opportunity to obtain something like a Penzance at a reasonable price so that I can settle this curiosity that agitates me regarding its impossible availability. I'm driven to know what it is really like, but I'm not going to pay some ridiculous price for it. As a beginner, I have lots of others to try.

You and lots of other people. If you want it that bad, keep an eye on things and start calling B&M's when Esoterica shipments hit. You'll find some eventually if you want it bad enough. It isn't all that, at least IMHO. If it weren't so scarce in terms of volume shipped, there would be a ton of it on the shelves, like it used to be. Why would this guy sell it to you for a "reasonable price" when he can sell it 5x to 10x to the Chinese buyer?

Yes, if Penzance were readily available, no one would ever even talk about it much. Not that it isn't great, but that it's rarity is what throws it over the top. The foolish pay the higher price, and the weak minded think that price equals quality. I love it, but if it were everywhere, I probably would have never even tried it.

My favourite K&K blends only show up 2-3 times a year, maximum, but it would still be nice to have the occasional opportunity to buy the Dunhill blends again under a different label.
I would like it better if STG continued making them somehow but beggars can't be choosers...
