I thought it was a tie. No idea how all 3 judges had it 116 - 112I had Usyk by 2 rounds. It was a close fight but I do feel Usyk won
I wonder what Tyson will do now? If he carries on I think the Anthony Joshua fight is favourite.I had it tied after the 10th round. Usyk took the 11th and 12th round for me. Close fight. I think Usyk disposes of Dubois.
The rumor is he goes back to cruiser and tries to unify before retiring. Usyk vs Opetia gives me chills if it happens before Usyk declines.
Agreed. That is the big money fight for him now. Cash it out, maybe have a 2nd fight if it is warranted then retire away and enjoy the fruits of your labour.I wonder what Tyson will do now? If he carries on I think the Anthony Joshua fight is favourite.
Yeah, even though he's come up short in these last 2 fights he's had a great career. I'd love to see him fight Joshua but if he decided to retire that'd be totally understandable.Agreed. Yeah, it was nowhere near as good as the first fight. Tyson used his jab and reach advantage to good effect but he wasn't aggressive enough. I was glad he wasn't clowning around and showed Usyk the respect he deserves.I watched the fight just now, some notes:
- you know that a fight would be boring when fight highlights are 3:03 long, and 30 seconds of that is intro and outro and repeats
- the fight was boring, there was not a single MEATY PUNCH in the whole fight
- Fury didn't bullshit this time 'round, thankfully, showing he's taking it seriously (he'd said himself he'd "do less clowning")
- Fury came heavier, but played extremely defensively using his jab and kept pushing Usyk away, unlike the first time
- If he wanted to use the weight/strength advantage why didn't he go on the offensive, was it to preserve gas in the tank, and if so...why against Usyk who's shown tremendous stamina and has a weight/size advantage for mileage?
- Fury remains extremely fast for any size, let alone a man his size
- Fury is certainly the stronger man, but neither of the two are beasts of strength, both are technical...
- ...and Usyk showed some (Mike) Tysonesque bobbing and weaving that he'd not shown in the previous fight
- Usyk outboxed Fury, in my opinion
You never know. If Tyson fights Joshua next and wins convincingly then we could see a trilogy. Depends if there's any interest from fight fans. Even though Tyson has lost twice to Usyk i'd definitely like to see a third fight. I think Tyson would be more aggressive if they met again and that would open it up and make it a better fight than what I saw last night. More like the first fight.A shame that we won't see a third!
