Furniture polish on pipes?

I really like the way my pipes look after a good carnauba hand buff.
I just wish I could find someone to do it.

SimonG, whilst during my student years I was allocated a meager budget which borders on genteel poverty, living of fish fingers and baked beans meant I could indulge my fascination of single malt whisky.

Now my fascination has been replaced with pipes and tobacco.

The flux of the heat will drive "in-bowl to external". So an occasional "commercial" cleaning may not harm your pipes. Actually, I use neutral shoe wax on my bowls when their bi-monthly cleaning comes due. I have never noticed any residue. Would, though, feel more comfortable with Arango's Pipe Wipe (which was J&J's Favor), but it is history.
