If you can do the work yourself, you could install an insert tube and then use epoxy to bond. You can find stainless steel tubing on Amazon pretty inexpensively.

Thanks all, sorry for a later reply, busy morning. I should note that I currently have no tools at my disposal being in the throes of moving, and at this point would much like recommendations towards a pipe repair service of good repute and reasonable price, thank you.

The long bastard gingerly slipped out of my coat pocket this morning and snapped as easy as anything. Anyone have any ideas on my best course of action?
(Other than burying it in the yard.)

Depends on whether you want the fix to be permanent and strong, or not. The proper approach to repair is to rejoin the two sections, then precision drill out the airway to insert and glue in place a steel sleeve to support the join.
All you need is the equipment, the knowledge of what exact drill size, tubing size, and the correct type of glue. You can just glue the two sections together with out adding the sleeve, and it may hold up, but it often doesn't over the long haul. If this is a favorite pipe that sees a lot of use, the metal sleeve is the way to go. There will be no visible sign of the break and the only difference will be that the pipe is much stronger than it was originally.

This repair is usually done by a very skilled woodworker, and preferably a skilled pipe restorer, of which there aren't a great many. One of the very best restorers, who had done this fix many times, is a member of this forum and goes by the moniker of georged, for George Dibos.

Good luck!

It is a Savinelli Bing’s Favorite, only had it a few weeks but I’ve taken to smoking it and it alone while I’ve had it. I’ve reached out to briarville and a few others about a price quote, hope to hear from them soon.

That stinks.

Worst case is that it turns out to make more sense to buy a replacement Bing. At least you'd have a spare stem for it.

Let us know what you decide.
