Hey there,

I am looking for a non aromatic, non Latakia tobacco to try that has a full body. I'd like something that has a "chewy" feel to the smoke. I have tried some blends with Dark-Fired Kentucky in it, like C&D Burley #5 which is pretty close to what I am after. Any recommendations to try next that give that thick feeling smoke?

Thanks!

I’m blending 80% c&d dark burley with 20% c&d white burley lately. I mix it well, jar it up, let it sit a few weeks. A very nice smoke —similar to what I think you’re describing

Regular is great, even better with a couple of years on it. Better than that, even, with a couple of years plus a little but if airing.

Awesome. Haven’t smoked it in years but I have an 8oz time in the cellar from 2005.

But have you tried the 20th anniversary release?

Sadly haven’t tried any of the 20tj anniversary blends.

Of course your mileage may vary but I've found that a light topping of doe estrus to any of my regular blends usually does the trick when I'm in the mood for a stouter smoke.
