Well I've only gone and done it lads!

It's been a goal of mine to get a nice stash of Birth Year alcohols and pipes going and after a few weeks of searching my first of each are finally here puffy

The Cognac is a 1991 Frapin with tons of oak to get through before you notice the subtle sweet fruit complexities, very tasty, and the pipe was from a Japanese Estate buy made by SP. It's marked KOBE '91 and seems to be made by an independent artisan as far as my research goes. Guess I have one to add to pipephil :D

Now my full goal is to find some vintage 1991 tobacco ( a lot harder than the pipe and cognac ) and enjoy all 3 on my next birthday!

'91 was a good year. I was 12 and went and bought myself the newly released Metallica LP, later to be known as The Black Album. At the same time I discovered that I sort of liked some of the songs by someone named Bob Dylan on my dad's LP's. I read The Lord of The Rings and The Three Musketeers. And that's about all of my intellectual property, all gained in '91. What a year!

I bought a 1970 Barling TVF that was from my birth year. Great little pipe. Smoked it this morning. Usually only get it out once and a while.

Birth anniversaries are not for me, but it seems they are very meaningful for you, and so I celebrate with you the appropriate tobaccos and spirits.
