Kicking this thread back up as I'm mid bowl of Salty Dogs. A little tougher to get a hold of and a bit of a struggle to get it to burn well, but it has the figgy perique when you get it going. Worth the trouble if you ask me.
I’ve had my eye on SD for a while. A little pricey, but the description captures the kind of blend I typically seek.

I continue to smoke WCC Flake #558. The flavor profile is not unlike De Luxe Navy Rolls. It’s delicious—alternating between tangy citrus and sweet raisins, becoming increasingly spicy as you make your way through the bowl. There are red Virginias here, but they do not seem to be a dominant component (which saves the blend for me).
