Glued two together with a turquoise inlay and turned it on my lathe. Great smelling tamper. Makes me wonder if I could take several and throw them in a jar of tobacco for a few years just to see what happens.

I'd rather not post a photo. It looks like shit as I am new to turning wood as a hobby. But still, it smells fantastic and it was fun just to come up with the idea.

Staves are the wooden components of barrels, as seen now in wine barrels. A small piece of one is placed in some blends as .... An aromatic enhancer—or marketing ploy; take your pick.

Oh boy! I didn't know a piece of barrel stave is inside my Frog Morton Cellar blend. Sounds like it would make a good tamper or flavor enhancer. Glad I ran into this post.
