I have recently acquired an unsmoked Fribourg & Treyer billiard for cheap. Pipe has the diamond F&T logo over Special Selection over London Made. Pipe is a short billiard with a saddle stem that is stamped Hand Cut.

I can't seem to find another example on the Internet or worthpoint with that nomenclature. Also there is a small circle placed in the diamond under the F&T.

Does anyone have any information? Knowledge about this brands pipes seems to be rather scarce. I do know that they didn't make there own, and this one has elements that would support both Sasieni and Orlik as the manufacturer.

Is there a shape number somewhere?
There is not. All stamping is on the left of the pipe including the HAND CUT stamp on the stem, nothing at all on the top, bottom, or right.

The hand cut stamp is reminiscent of Orlik, but the London Made stamp is IDENTICAL to the Sasieni form in all regards, and clearly different from the Orlik London Made stamps.

UK seller on Etsy. I don't buy pipes from the UK on eBay unless they will ship Royal Mail. I was burned pretty bad by eBay shipping once, never again.

The “hand cut” stamp looks like some of my GBDs. That may be the same stamp used in other Oppenheimer production.

My one Sasieni with a “hand cut” stem stamp is, if I remember correctly, arched like their “Made in England” stamp.

Whoever made it, you have wound up with a great pipe.
