I have wanted to buy a meerschaum pipe for some time now. I value quality of material and engineering, but I want to try to keep my purchase under $100.00. Can you recommend an affordable meerschaum pipe maker with a good reputation for good quality block and engineering? I am looking for a simple classic shape in a lattice finish. Thanks buddy.

Likewise, I'm no Fred but...AND Meerschaum seems to be popular with people and many of theirs are under $100. Also, nothing wrong with Ebay. You can often get older Meers which are actually better quality block for cents on the dollar.

SMS and the older CAO made pipes would be a safe bet. I often see them sell for less than your target price on ebay. I have three SMS pipes and they are very nice and very affordable.

The one I bought on Ebay for $10.99 on Ebay is a Paykoc and it would appear they are about the same quality as the AND ones. P&C sells estate Meers for a good price, too.
