Great classic claw meer! Will you smoke it inside or outdoors? I think meers really shine when smoked inside in a comfy chair.
This will be a kick back and relax indoors pipe. It will probably get most of its use as a reading pipe or movie watching pipe.

It does indeed. I've seen photos of that pipe before. These claw and egg meers have been around for quite some time!
Like metalhead and salted said, don't bother with the coloring bowl. I seem to recall reading, somewhere, that they are intended for new, pristine bowls where the virgin meer is exposed only to the smoke stream. (Maybe that's just meerschaum lore; but in any event, I think it would make for an awkward assembly.)
that's why I was asking in the first place. It seems they always come in one particular size but I already have two other meers, one being quite (extremely) large, and one being quite small. So not sure whether or not it would fit the pipe anyway. I think I'm just looking for an excuse to buy one :mrgreen: But I agree... money probably better spent elsewhere.
