While at my local Ingles grocery store I happened to be standing in line to check out and noticed they had Prince Albert, Bugler, and Carter Hall tobacco in the front of the store shelves. Told the wife it probably 45 dollars or so for the Price Albert and that i can get it cheaper online. Boy was I wrong. $30.98. Damn if I didn't get one. Asked manager if that was a sale or are they getting rid of all the pipe tobacco. She said no, thats the everyday price and there's no talk of getting rid of it. So if you live in the southeast hit up an Ingles. 20221227_143100.jpg

If Ingles is a chain the choice to carry things often comes from corporate. So if you really like the stuff a lot, maybe stock up. Even if it seems to move at your local corporate might feel that it doesn't move enough in all the stores.
It's a grocery chain. North Georgia, the Carolinas, southern Virginia and east Tennessee.

Went by Ingles today and got a tub. Only place in town that has it I've seen. They have a nice selection of ryo and otc pipe. I saw Drum which I really wanted to get at some point.

OK so this stuff is fantastic. The chemical taint present in the pouches is gone, and this is a perfect all day burley smoke. I'll have to get a tub of CH when I'm done with my last remaining pouch. My verdict is that hands down Dr PA wins. 20230920_125338.jpg20230920_125249.jpg

One thing I've wondered is does PA really have Virginia Cavendish in it or is it simply an all burley? @JimInks I noticed this in your review.

The nuttiness of the burley is toned down some but the tradeoff is that disgusting chemical taste is gone, it hampered the smoke for me unless I smoked very very very slowly. In that regard I preferred CH but I wanted to see if this new production got rid of it.

Jesus you waited long enough to let him out, do you have ANY idea how little oxygen is in one of those cans???
Dammit, I wanted to say that. Guess there's already a wise guy in town.

Also, the SE is my favorite part of America, besides Maine of course. But they share a lot of similarities. The olde worlde can still be found knocking around in the store rooms.

I'm in Western North Carolina, I must say it is beautiful out here. You don't have to drive very far for great scenery.
