Whoa, I just looked up and saw my number of posts and decided to see if I can delay reaching the next landmark here. I must be the Forums chatter box, not having any special expertise, like pipe history, pipe carving, pipe restoration and repair, tobacconist knowledge, or other special know-how. Maybe I'll try reading more and writing less here. If I have so much to say, maybe I should blog, but probably not on pipes or tobacco. So let me see if I can read more, and write less, and not hit that 10K mark for a few days or weeks.

I love reading what you post and as a new member of the pipe smoking fraternity I gleamed quite a bit of knowledge from you and others here. You're like my pipe godfather/mentor.....
