Smokey:
Your wish has been granted. When I clicked on the pipe link in your posting, the pipe is now marked sold. I did not buy it.

Finish is cool but I dont like the lacquer in the bowl.
Gasp!!!
I do not lacquer my pipes, inside or out!
The inside of the bowl is sanded and burnished to a smooth surface, but it is bare natural briar.

I was thinking that some of these posts were rather harsh, knowing that Walt was on the forum with us. But, as someone who also makes stuff for a living also, I know that everyone has an opinion.
As soon as the holidays are over and I can spend on myself, I want one of those Walt made pipes, especially with that awesome suede surface. But, I want one of the non-lacquered chambers though, ha ha

I didn't think these posts where harsh at all. As long as I've been at this, I've learned that you can't please everybody all the time, and I've heard much harsher!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I support their free expression of such, be it positive or negative. But I've got to chime in when their opinion is based on misinformation... especially regarding an act as unthinkably unforgivable as putting lacquer inside of the bowl!!! Blech!
