Good morning all’. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I missed getting my order for this year’s release of Folklore. I’ve never been able to get my hands on this blend and have heard great things about it.

If anyone has some and would be interested in selling, or trading, some of the 2025 release, or knows where I can order some, please pm me.

Well crap!
It must be Steamworks coming out then. I hate that I missed this one too. I'm just too old to be playing these childish "catch it in 5 minutes" games with small batches.
I wish I could just join a Small Batch Club and have them automatically send me whatever the limit is of each new blend released. They've got my card on file.

This is a great idea for SP. They would know how much to make and can get handle on the volume and everyone gets some. Even easier would be to preorder during say a week maybe 2 years prior and then they know how much to make. Leaving customers hungry isn't good for business. For me Folklore was a hard pass. That combo never appealed to me.

I had popped my last jar of Folklore a week ago, seeing that they were going to release it again. I was following on IG, but I guess I got confused with the Steamworks posts they were also making.
Oh well, I also like Night Train, which has some of the same notes in Folklore that I like, maybe in the casing. I may have to just stick to that till next year. Uggg.

Yes, like a Small Batch club for badge holders. We could just be enrolled to automatically get all of the Small Batches, with an option to opt out, if one comes along that we aren't interested in. Maybe make the opt out option a monthly thing, and SOL if you miss the chance and get stuck with an aromatic or something.

I'm in a bourbon club that does this. I know, because I have a few bottles of pecan and peanut butter whisky that I can't get rid of, h aha. But. better to get a lousy one every now and then, than to miss out altogether. IMO

I think it’s a GREAT idea! Minimizes risk for SP as they will basically have pre-sale orders, allowing them to forecast sales and produce enough product to keep us all happy! If that’s not an option, they should at least have something on their website with upcoming releases. Sending an email announcing the release is all well and good until one goes to SPAM and it’s missed as was the case for me with this release of Folklore.

Do you have any comment on similarities btwn Steamworks & Folklore?
I really enjoyed the former and took a gamble on a pound of the latter this time around...

Both are in the tart and tangy categories for me. Jeremy has a preference for combining sweets and sours, but Steamworks has more spice and woodiness to it. With Folklore the flavors are all just below the surface, and with Steamworks, it is more up front... if that makes sense.
It has been a minute since I last smoked Steamworks, so this is all just off the cuff.

....not looking forward to trying to get this year's CRF w/Perique. It seems like before the sutliff news, the C&D small batches would last a few days on smoking pipes.

8 State Burley took a while to sell out. It's somewhat pricey for what it is, but not terrible when I want an aromatic codger -type blend
