My fiancée got this at a flea market for me. A vintage 6 pipe rack/tobacco barrel. It came with a Dr. Grabow System, Mastercraft Weatherproof Sparkproof Billiard (weird rotating briar windcap), and an unidentified Algerian briar pipe. I’m just getting over Covid so I haven’t been able to smoke for a while but I’m very excited to get these cleaned up in the mean time.

What an interesting package, both the barrel and the rack, and the pipes. I'd like to see the pipes after sprucing up. I think they'll look great. I would not do more than clean up the barrel and rack. I think the antiqued look is better than staining or refinishing would be.

Yep, just a light clean up on the barrel and it will just pop!!

That barrel humidor looks interesting, although I'm sure its terrible for keeping tobacco in.

The flip back windcap is a unique feature as well. I've never seen that before. What are your plans for them?

I don’t have any experience refinishing old pipes but I’ve been doing some research online about the process. I’ll start with the Grabow and the beat up poker, if they turn out nice I’ll try the Windproof Billiard. If not I may send that out to be refinished by someone with skills.
