The wife and I went to the flea market over the weekend. A man had four rough looking pipes laying on a table with a bunch of other junk, they were so dirty and oxidized I could not make out any brands at the time, I offered him $10.00 for the lot and he took it. When I got home and looked them over better I found, one was a GBD 598 jumbo which cleaned up and looks almost new. The next one was a Zittervig Copenhagen handmade, it also cleaned up nicely, a few tooth marks but a nice pipe. The third was a Old England 41 made in London,it had a bad burn place on the top of the rim,I had to sand away 1/16 inch from the top of the rim but it turned out to be really nice when I got through. The fourth is not worth the effort, 1/4" deep burn place on the rim from years of lighting in the same spot and tooth holes in the tip, and no brand I can find. 3 out of 4 ain't bad for $10.00.
