Does anyone know enough about the inner workings of SPC blends to tell me if their Bourbon Barrel Aged Plum Pudding is topped/cased with bourbon flavor, or if it's truly just carrying the scent of real bourbon? I cracked my first tin of this stuff yesterday and I find the whiskey scent to be quite overpowering. Literally sinus-clearing if you put your nose to it. Does it really acquire this much fragrance just from being aged in a bourbon barrel? Or are they soaking this blend in some whiskey-flavor juice? I'm skeptical.
