C&D produces a line of Burley flakes simply named Burley Flake #1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

It seems to me that they intended to explore the Burley spectrum. I've smoked only two in this line, so this is only speculation. TR.com might be useful here.

If you see the terms White Burley or Mahogany Burley used in the blend description, you should be fine. If they mention Dark Burley, that's the stuff you should avoid if you don't like that cigar-like flavor. The lighter-colored Burleys usually also have a moderate amount of vitamin N, but the Dark varieties may give you the nic-hics.
