Well sure if rubbing out is your thing it goes a lot faster but if fold & stuff is your thing then sterner measures are needed, such as a lot of patience or in my case a healthy blast of non-ionizing radiation from a cavity magnetron.

I tried some 1888 "after Dinner" flake last night, I packed it with the roll and stuff method with some rubbings on top to get it going. Gotta say, not a big fan, I could still taste it this morning, like you do when you have a cheapo cigar the night before.
I had some the other day with it rubbed out and I didn't get the after taste, kind of weird. I let it dry out both ways before smoking too, and I didn't have much trouble at all keeping it lit.

I Z-fold all flakes except Burley, which I find is better rubbed out to get distinct flavours. I usually dry by leaving the flakes out until I can't resist anymore (the Will Power Technique) but now I know I can nuke the mothers, we're away and running. Especially Marlin Flake. No more soggy stuff for me!
