This must be a good tobacco. I ordered some from 4Noggins last week after waiting 2 Months for it to come back in stock again. Now I see 4Noggins and P&C are both sold out of it already.

Huh, I have only recently started to hear about this tobacco. Can you give us all a description Fisher?

It's definitely something you want to smoke as a condiment with other tobaccos. I had a 1 ounce sample once about 10 years ago or so and it took me 2 years to smoke it. It is extremely potent in the nicotine department.

Our page was in error about being out of stock. Take a look now- it should be buyable.

We finally received a big shipment in last week, so hopefully the out of stock issues are a thing of the past. Demand for this product has been about 4 times what we had projected. I'd love to take credit for this, but there's been no real marketing support. My latest theory, based on talking to one of our customers: The Amish. Apparently it's very popular with them.

LOL
The Amish have caused a tobacco shortage? That's awesome!
Thanks for the fun theory. I've never met an Amish person. Would be seriously interesting to spend a day or two with em.
How do they order it? By mail? Do they have bank accounts? So many questions, so little time.

I just ordered a pouch of it, large stock or not. I've read over and over that Five Brother's helps you figure out just how far from the floor your ass is. Also ordered two ounces of Russ's Steamroller for comparison.

definitely satisfies in the nicotine department.
See, Mark. This is why I've been bit leery about trying the small sample of FIve Brothers I have. I've never been a cigarette smoker, so smoking a pipe isn't about the buzz, but about the experience. Maybe I'll take a page out of ohin's book and add it to something before I try it outright.

Jason, I would really classify this as a RYO toby myself,it's a shag cut, and reminds me of Drum quite a bit. I do like a bowl once in a while as it does offer a nice jolt. BTW, I gave up cigarettes well over a month ago. I'm now pipe and occasional cigar only smoker.

I thought it looked suspiciously like RYO... Then I will definitely just add it to something. It is only 2-3 bowls worth so it'll go easily.

Ya I have heard it is much like Drum as is Dark Birdseye. I have both on route via mail to me now. I am truly hoping the comparison to Drum is accurate as I use Drum everyday with my layers.
@jchaplick:
I shall let you know what it is like after I have tried it.

nsfisher: I figured that Steamroller would be a good tobacco but the description of it (and its name) suggests that it packs a jolt. Five Brother's is no-frills, from what I understand, and I've read it described as pencil shavings but when I say that I was going to compare it Steamroller, I meant more in experience vs. result sort of way. I expect 5 Bros to be a 0 in experience but a 10 in result but I expect Steamroller to be somewhere closer to balance (probably a 7 on experience and a 6 on result) or some such ratio. I just e-mailed P&C to OK my New York State Outrageous Tax charge (on Tax Day, no less) so it should be here soon. I'll update when I get a chance to carry out my experiment.

Thanks mate, I like to see comparisons of baccy rather than just a single review. I enjoy drum because I layer my bowls, I liked Steamroller alot but didn't find that much nic, just enough. They say Dark Birdseye and 5 Bro's is similiar to Drum so I hope so. I do not find a huge nic hit in Drum either so it will be good to compare it to 5 Bro's and Birdseye. These 2 blends may be just what I am looking for. Sometimes I layer Drum, 1792 Flake, and Hal O Wind all in one bowl, so maybe I am immune to big nic hits.

Yes mate, RYO, but, here in Nova Scotia, many people use it as pipe tobacco rather than rolling baccy. It is 22.50 per 50g pouch so now you can imagine why I would like to find a replacement for it, especially at 5-10.00 per pouch.
