EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9)

I used to use a fish-tank bubble machine to smoke pipes for me. I can't quite remember how I put it together, but it blew a slow stream of air which I directed into the bowl. Out came a gentle flow of smoke from the bit. I would do this when I burnt my tongue from smoking too fast. Crazy, right?

Thumbs up! Aroma of pipe tobacco smells very different if you don't smoke it yourself.

Plug in that briar incense burner, and sniff away.

I used to have an “electric pipe”. It was essentially a tiny battery powered vacuum for electronics that was MacGuyvered to accept a small threaded aluminum bowl. It was sold “for tobacco use only” (wink, wink). More of a novelty/conversation piece than anything, only used it a handful of times. Even I wasn’t too lazy to smoke a bowl.

You know, it's not a requirement that the smoke stream hit your tongue while you smoke. There are ways around that.

Yeah, I lived in a single room then, and it would fill with delicious smoke. My housemates actually envied it. I'm married with kiddo now, so I do my puffing outside. I've been considering the attic! On a side note, during a normal smoking session, after I puff out I inhale through my nose to really get the aromas. Is this typical? I would think so.

I've never heard of this before, though it sounds interesting. As for inhaling through the nose after exhaling, I think that qualifies as normal in breathing and in tobacco savoring. I find myself doing some funny mouth movements trying to taste the tobacco afterward. Maybe that''s why I like to smoke in private...

Seriously, you should see me smoking Sutliff Creme Brulee, idk how I haven't eaten my pipe yet.

I can't wrap my brain around this behavior. Filling the room with tobacco smoke without enjoying the actual smoking of the tobacco? Second hand smoking...... never thought that would be a thing.

Not really that crazy; I once smashed a similar device my son used to smoke pot out of!

Oh boy, another forum with insult-posts from someone that doesn't let us know where THEY are from. You are the first one ever to make fun of (aka be jealous) of someone from California. No age requirements to post here?

Never said a thing about caring or being paranoid one way or another about 2nd hand smoke. Don't know where you got that from but when you can't find a good counterpoint to a post, putting down where the posters are from usually makes the troll feel better and that's why trolls post, isn't it? Feel better?

Next time attack my avatar when you can't wrap your brain around what is posted. Or maybe my username? I'm sure you'll find something. Maybe ask the psych nurse when she comes by with the meds.

It does sound like the Dr. Grabow pre-smoking machine. Samuel Clemmons/Mark Twain claimed he hired a town layabout smoke his new pipes to break them in ... joking I assume.
