DOB Dec 7, 1945 so I should be somewhat mature but there's a couple of ex-wives with varying opinions; they're exs so I heed then even less now.

Started on a pipe at the tender age of about 15, admittedly for nefarious reasons. There was a young (but older than me) lady I was quite taken with. I thought I could off-set my baby face by ditching the obvious high school attire and wearing tweeds and I figured a pipe went w/ a tweed and hoped it would add a little credibility.

The first of my many disappointments in l'amour; I shall not bore you with the details.

I've been a lover of Briar and a few select meers ever since. I probably own 6-7 dozen pipes but really only smoke about 10 on a regular basis and have a Maduro Robusto or double Corona evry 5-10 days. I favour anything robust (965-ish) and abhor anything strongly cherry, chocolate et al (although I'm exceedingly fond of Special Dark Chocolate). I know a lot of folks like flavoured tobacco so I figure I'm helping them by leaving 'my share' for them.

Probably not much different from many here; distrust politicians out of hand, have no time for BS and am glad a certain segment of society actually wears under wear but, really dislike seeing the day's colour. I shoot, roll my own, fish as I can, am retired but looking for something to do. Read a fair bit but watch limited TV and almost no broadcast news.

Considering another touring bike but we'll see; my knees are reminding me how old they are and re-enforcing that some of my more youthful endeavours really weren't good ideas.

Currently live in 38105; wife came here on contract a few years ago & one thing led to another. Between the pollen, horrible drivers, general stupidity and casualness of violent crime, I give that about another 6 months. Then we're heading a little higher.

There; y'all should be bored by now.

I was about to say I hear it's a nice place if you don't mind getting shot, but then you said it for me. Welcome aboard.

Memphis has some good points but they get obscured easily by the aforesaid idiocy. If I were to get shot, my picture would make the news; "Wife takes down Husband's assailant" - she's been packing for years and I've made sure she gets lots of range time.

Most of that happens away from us, although not that far.
We never go looking for trouble or, act like a target.

Welcome from the Central Coast of California!

Please put your location in your Profile as people are forgetful.
Why:
That will save questions in the future as to where you live when you later mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc. In many instances that saves time for those who read your posts.
How:
Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state. Just country if you must.

well hopefully we never find out if it's worked for her. I kind of am shocked because most people I have met from there act like they're in major denial about the dangers of where they live. They'll talk about safer places as being hellscapes of violence.

Another Virginian welcoming you!

What a bummer that Gibson closed their factory there. I had a great time touring that place...

Welcome from New York City. Keep your head on a swivel around there lol. Wouldn’t blame you for relocating, leave that place for those that deny the issues and make excuses for them. Then again I’m one to talk being a Bronx native lmao.
