The stem to my Wellington giant straightened out over the years so I thought I’d have a go at bending it back. Dipped the stem in simmering water a few times, for a few seconds each time, and the stem was pliable. I used a mug to help shape it. Now it clenches great, especially for how large of a pipe it is. Very pleased with how it went and surprised at how easy it was. I’ve seen some complicated instructions for bending stems so I thought I’d share what worked for me since it was so simple and quick.
