I bought a Chacom Festival Rhodesian (815) from eBay for cheap, and I attempted my first restoration. I didn’t take “before” photos myself, but here are the shots from eBay:

The stem was completely browned with oxidation, and while the rest looked okay it seemed cloudy with patina. After a lot of elbow grease, here is what it looks like now:

I’m not sure I got the bowl as clean as I would have liked, but otherwise I was quite pleased with this. It wasn’t really a challenging one to start with since it didn’t need any real repairs.

Very cool. Beware, this phase of PAD is another avenue to collecting. Not just the pipes but acquiring the necessary items to work on these jems. I have a whole tub full of stuff I've aquired over the years.
