First Pipe

Hey everyone,
So I was wondering, especially for the more experienced smokers, what was your first pipe? Do you still have it? If you do, do you still smoke it? If you still do post some pics! :puffpipe:

i actually bought a pete years before i started smoking a pipe everyday and yes i still have it but what i call my first pipe is a MM Legend. Smoked it every day for 2 months straight befor i found this site and learned about resting pipes. i have also chewed through 2 stems on that cob and i have just put the 3 stem on it today hope to have it for years to come.

My first is a no-name estate billiard. It's a good pipe and I doubt I'll ever sell it. Still smoke it once in a blue moon.

I've only smoked for a few months, but my first was my favorite. I don't know for sure what brand it was but I just dropped it 3 hours ago, in the driveway, then stepped on it....pretty bummed right now.

Here's mine. The brand has worn off and you can just read "Made in England" on one side. Good smoking little billiard on a home made pipe stand.

Well, I wouldn't call myself an "experienced" member... but here goes
First starter kit

The pipe itself, unknown brand, the only marking it has is "Czech", was $35 and I purchased it in October 2009. I messed around on and off for about a year and a half, until my wife bought me the Peterson last summer. Since then, it's PAD and TAD.... to her occasional frustration ;-) I'm up to 10 pipes with two in the mail. About 2 pounds worth either in cellar or in open tins / jars. But the cigarettes are down to maybe a pack a week from a pack a day !!
Yes I still carry the thing around, smoke about once a day as a matter of fact. First pipe in the morning loaded with Kendal's Kentucky lately to get my vitamin N going in the morning. I actually need to go back to that store and buy a couple more. This thing has rocked !

I've started developing some cake in it. I know, I know.. it's not a lot and not very good (yet) .. but give me a break as a 6-month newbie I'm trying. If I were 40 years younger, I'd get a medal for trying :rofl:

Very cool! i have only been smoking for 6 months myself but i have acquired a couple pipes recently. ill try to get a pic of mine up.

It was 1966, was just drafted into the Army and it was a Kaywoodie. After buying it at the PX, I thought what the hell is this metal thing doing in the stem. Wish I still had that pipe.

Actually my very first pipe must have been 1984 or so, in college...a straight and a little bent apple. I think they're still at my moms in my room somewhere. I'm gonna look for it next time we're visiting. Probably this summer. I did have a stinger in it and I used to puff amphora red. or drum since I could also use that as RYO.

My first pipe was a 50 ccent cob nose warmer that burned through and i threw out, the first real pipe was a mm legend, that broke very sad.
first pipe i smoked regularly was an MM country gent that i still have and is very well used. got so used i actually did the salt alcohol treatment to get some grossness out. Worked quite well

My first pipe decades ago was a no-name briar. It got lost somewhere along the way when I moved several times during a period when I didn't smoke.

My first pipe when I restarted smoking was a Design Berlin bent apple. It's one of my best smokers.

Mine was a Medico Brylon pipe I till have I rarely smoke out of it.
It is the one on the bottom.

First pipe was a smaller MM cob. Second was a MM cob. Hell, third and fourth were, too. lol. Then I got lucky on a Falcon estate. Then PAD got me and Ebay became my friend. Have 6 briars sitting on my shelf in a 6 slot pipe stand/humidor. Still have the first cob.

first pipe was 15-18 yrs ago and was a crappy cheap plastic one with the metal bowl liner, was a Sanda i believe, its in the bottom of Indian Lake in Barss Corner, Nova Scotia. (Maybe there is a big bass smoking it)
