Congrats on your new acquisition, not too long ago I was in pretty much similar situation ,bought myself a NOS Dunhill Tanshell which went into my current rotation,no its being smoked by Sundays, pipes are meant to be smoked

That's true; however, I have an antique business that now features about 50% pipes. Once I'm absolutely positive I'll never sell a pipe;i.e-it's part of my 'collection' - then I smoke it. It's incredibly rare to find a boxed, unsmoked 60-yr old Dunhill, so it's not a light decision. Well, it's a 'lighting' decision.

This example is why I rarely buy unsmoked antique pipes - presents a quandry.

I love Dunhill Princes. They are my favorite pipes for stronger blends. In fact I am smoking a 1960 Dunhill Root Briar Dead Root ** Prince with GH Dark Plug in it as I write this.

IMHO, it would be criminal not to smoke this pipe. I guarantee it would be a perfect smoker. Money back guarantee.

Beautiful pipe!!!! Puffy
