It's on my list to try, I've had my eye on it. Probably try some in the next couple months.Kia ora from Aotearoa New Zealand. Sounds like you found the right place. I cut my teeth on haunted bookshop. You might enjoy semois bro
Sounds like you're on the right track !Still looking around the website, I'm not good with computers but I thought I'd give this a try. Also fairly new Pipe Smoker, picked it up bout 6 months ago and have fallen in love with it. Ive discovered I like straight billiard pipes. I got a couple Lorenzetti, a couple Savinelli and a Brebbia. All great smokers, then I got a Meerschaum from this guy Ismail Celebi, and it's been great. When I first started I started with English, and then moved to Straight Virginias, and then last few months Ive been mostly smoking Burley and some VaPer. So far I've had probably 7 different house blends from my local Cigar store, and then these are the Tins I've tried so far: Peterson Nightcap and MM965, Presbyterian, Capstan Blue, Escudo, Orlik Golden Sliced, Haddos Delight, and Haunted Bookshop. Haunted Bookshop being my favorite, so much I've been buying the 8 oz cans. From what I hear Old Joe Krantz is similar so I'm going to try some of that next along with some Pegasus. In the mail right now I ordered some Savinelli blend I can't remember the name, it's supposedly taste like the old Three Nuns, which I haven't had. Haven't had the old or the new. But I've heard its good. So I guess we will see. I also haven't had any Kentucky dark fired blends yet I don't think so that's on my list along with Orientals. I don't really have any interest in Aromatics, I've had a few different ones and they were okay, I found myself cutting them with a straight Virginia though. And on that note I've found myself cutting straight Virginia with straight Burley. And I've found I've liked that better. Burns a little cooler and you get some more flavor I guess. I've found I enjoy my pipe the most in the Morning with Premium Black Coffee. I also enjoy eating some Hershey chacolate after a smoke. I find the three belong together as the perfect trifecta, Tobacco, Coffee, and Chacolate. Anyway I'm glad to be here.
Thanks!Hello and welcome from New England! Your introduction reads like my newfound enthusiasm for pipe smoking. Sweet pipe cabinet by the way!
Really don't know, just woke up one morning and just had this urge to try it. So I went down to the store and got a cheap $15 pipe. And a bag of pipe tobacco. And I just fell in love with it. I only smoke at home on my porch when I'm off work. I like to wake up early and make coffee, and just sit and relax out there. I head OJK is a lot like it but stronger, it's next on my list. I haven't heard of Crooner, I'll have to check it out.Welcome from Idaho! What got you interested in pipe smoking? If you like Haunted Bookshop/OJK, Crooner is another one that I found to be similar. I've only ever had chocolate after a pipe to stop the effects of nicotine sickness... I'll have to try it for enjoyment! Hah.
Good to have you here!
