First Custom Pipe

Getting my first custom pipe made!!!!

Chuck Long is crafting it for me, took about 4 months for him to have the free time to do it
I requested a special pipe for deployments and field excercises so it will be rusticated to help cover the eventual ding, in honor of the original Army pipe smokers it will have an Army mount made from a spent shell - after experimenting he is going to do this from the brass of of a spent 20Ga shotgun shell. He is also making a custom tamper for me from a Remington 30-06 casing.
He sent me the filling pic of the prototype and has already started on my pipe

Well, Chaps, that's going to be an absolutely beautiful pipe and I love the accents of the round being used as the mount.
As a fellow military member, and pipe smoker, know this. It'll get a hell of a lot of use out in the field and everything. haha. My rusticated one for shipboard use gets a lot of work during the underways.
