Whipped this little guy up today! It's pretty tiny because it's hard to find decent corn on the cob in the stores anymore.

Just a warning, don’t be surprised if the bottom gets soggy and fails. Missouri Meerschaum uses corn grown specifically for pipes, and they still plug the bottom with hardwood. If you have a hardwood dowel the right diameter, you could cut a plug from it, I’d bet.

Here is version two. This one has a plug, however it's not hardwood because I didn't want to go scrounging about for some. I used a bit of corn stalk, or the "handle" as it's called when eating corn on the cob. Turns out it's much denser when it dries. Both these cobs are only about six months old or so I'm not expecting miracles. This was more of a bored Sunday project to see if I could make a smokeable pipe. They both have screens in them because I felt like that was a solid choice.

Hey not bad! I like version two better! It'll be interesting to see how she smokes! The screens won't be necessary, even though it sounds like it.
