First B&M visit

I consider myself fortunate. While i don't have a real tobacco shop nearby, there is a loacl joint where the people are friendly and the prices are good.

It's a discount booze-smoke shop and it has a broad selection of "drug-store" brands and about 10 to 12 bulk blends, which sell for only $2.50 an ounce, and yes, you can buy a single ounce. I usually stop in once a week and buy an ounce of something I haven't smoked before.

The people behind the counter don't know anything about pipe smoking, but they're pleasant and give me service with a smile when I buy a one-ounce sample, a pouch of PA, a pack of pipe cleaners and give me change for a ten-spot.

Heck, they even have a drive-up window, which I never use because when I buy my tobacco I'm not in a hurry.

This place also has a walk-in cigar humidor and decent beer prices.

Hey, this isn't a perfect world. I'm lucky to have a joint like this only 10 minutes down the road.

Gatlinburlier I've been there. Bought a couple of ounces of an English bulk as I remember.

It was a pretty nice place, but I didn't have the time to linger and rummage... as it were.

Also, bought some serious hot sauce across the hall. :twisted:

Yep, that place has some hard to find sauce that will burn you good. I've never seen a store with that big of a selection before. I would like to go back there someday and spend a day or two in the Smokey Mountains. It's a good 12 hour drive from Little Rock so it won't be anytime soon.

Lawrence some of that hot sauce will mess you up. It's just as hot coming out as going in.

The other thing that bothers me a little is going in to my B&M and seeing 3-4 guys sitting around in the lounge chairs and when I'm up at the counter on a stool waiting for the disgruntled owner to dispense my blend ...(he seems to do this quickly to get me out of there in a hurry), that you don't get any invitation to sit and shoot the shit even from the pipe smokers, much less from the cigar guys. It's like back in High School with all the "clicks" and peer groups. There's no introductions, how are you doing, etc. It's just a crying shame to be able to walk there ( 2/10ths of a mile ), and it not be a place that you would want to hang out and relax. :crying:
