I apply stain with a doubled pipe cleaner. I first dip the pipe cleaner in denatured alcohol then into the stain.

Q-tip, but same method basically. The provided applicator is too large.

It doesn't take much. I used a rag. And it evaporates quickly if you use too much on accident.

I only have one glove. I squeezed a bit on a rag and tried scrubbing. I found some acne pads for 20 years ago completely dry, so I tried those too again, wetted with the nail polish remover. No egress. Should I try sanding it off with high grit? I scraped a few flakes off with a paper clip.

Fumes are of course noxious.
