The other weekend I was up at the big fancy (read: overpriced) antique shop at Abernyte, which is a lot more curated than the one nearby I usually go to (no fun heaps of stuff on the floor to look through) and I found some old tobacco tins. To my surprise, a couple of the tins were still full! Alas the seals on them had long gone, and I suspect they've been opened a good many times just sitting out like that for any passing ne'erdowell such as myself to get their greasy paws on. My partner was adamant that they were gross, that smoking any of the contents would make me very sick, and she's right, some of that tobacco was downright vile... and yet... her insistence that it couldn't be smoked only set off a wee voice at the back of my head going "go on son, it's finely aged, it'll be a laugh, you can prove it won't make you sick, you can prove it's smokeable, think of the story you'll be able to tell the grandkids in 50 years..." It's been over a week now and I'm still thinking about the dank musty aroma that perforated those tins. What do you lot reckon? I know at least one of yous would smoke itIMG_20250202_114509.jpgIMG_20250202_114525.jpg
