Finally Got Myself An Eskimo!

After years of wanting one, I finally pulled the trigger on this one. It’s by Rusen Rusenov, and is an excellent example of the shape. I’ve also never really seen a sandblasted Eskimo, as they’re usually a canvas for showing of Birdseye grain. I don’t mind a smooth pipe at all, but my tastes lean towards texture. Rusen is a very talented, and underrated carver, with very reasonable prices. Anyway, I’m thrilled to finally have one of my “bucket list” shapes, and can’t wait to fire it up!

Sometimes sandblasting makes the birdies even cooler. I believe this is a prime example of that.

Thanks guys! I’m going to christen it tomorrow. Probably with a nice aged McClelland. I’m thinking either, Blackwoods Flake, Deep Hollow or 221b Honeydew Flake. This is going to be a Va / VaPer pipe, so I figured I’d give it something special for it’s first smoke.

I've got one. I think there shape is using but I must admit it smokes very nice and it's easy to clinch. A Martin Cermak.
