Well, I would compare it to a meer, as there's no discernible taste that I get from it other than tobacco. I mean, there wasn't even a detectable smell from the bowl when I first pulled it out and now it just smells of the Frigate. I think it really is much like a meer in that it imparts no added flavor to the tobacco at all.
