Has anyone had the chance to compare the Cao Moontrance Cigars to the pipe tobacco? The room note on the cigar is what I've been searching for and threw reason I purchased my pipe. Best I can describe it as a sweet leathery smell. If you have experience with this baccy other similar optons would be welcome. Thanks.

Interesting. No help here but I did not know CAO made Moontrance cigars too. I've been mainly on the pipe side of things for some years now, but it would be fun to compare the two first hand. Have neither right now.

I have smoked cigars on and for about 20 years, and I found I quite liked CAO Moontrance cigars as well as some of their other cigars. I was happy to see some time ago that they came out with some of the same flavors in pipe tobacco. Unfortunately the pipe tobacco doesn't relate the same flavors as the cigars did. The main reason I assume is that the tobacco leaf used in pipe tobacco is quite different from cigar leaf. I just didn't get much similarity between them. My wife liked the cigar room note and the pipe room note, but said they didn't seem the same. Mind you, it's a nice aro smoke, but nothing great in my opinion. It's worth a try though if you like aro tobaccos, and you can make up your own mind as to what you think about it.

I'll be interested in your review, madtohkin. I came it about the other way having tried the pipe tobacco first and the cigars later. The cigars seemed somewhat harsh to me in comparison.
A reviewer advised that those who liked Moontrance would also like Sutliff Tropic Cavendish. I didn't care for that one much, but it's just about the only tobacco my son smokes. Maybe I should try it again.

So I stogie I first tried was a cigarillo. Today I purchased the Corona Cao M. Cigar. Surprisingly different room note. Very fruit forward tropical notes. I dug it but was surprised that it was so different from the cigarillo. The smell of the cigarillo is what I'm after. We will c
