In addition to just wanting another Boswell in general, as an avid hunter/fisherman/outdoorsman I have been looking to acquire one of these Shot Shell pipes for quite a while now to take with me to my cabin. All the chances at these pipes I've had so far have been for pipes that either ended up going for too high a price on ebay, or just weren't what I was looking for aesthetically. Great stummel, ugly stem, good stem, wrong shape, good enough but too expensive, etc.

Finally in checking out J.M.'s new stock yesterday I found one that will suit me. I nice little poker with a deep bend, but still 5 inches long. Deep bowled stummel with his signature black coal rustication (one of the few rustications out there I actually find visually appealing), and a nice cumberland stem, and of course, the eponymous 12 Ga. shot shell shank end. I do wish it had a smooth rim, but I've been looking for one of these for a while to bring to my Cabin, and this one was the best option I've seen in a year of watching/searching and I am stoked to have picked it up brand new.

Can't wait to fire this baby up when she arrives! I think she will look magnificent out at the Cabin.

Oh yeah. That one's a classic. It takes a minute for the shot shell to dawn on the viewer, it is so well integrated into the pipe, with such a classy design, textures and finish. Mighty nice.
