Fills on Sasieni Four Dot Walnut

I do have another St Andrews, a Rustic, that was probably made in the 50's. Interestingly enough, there was a St Andrews of a different shape in the 1930's.

All that aside, I fired it up tonight, and it is a fabulous smoker. I went with some 2016 MacBaren H&H Vintage Syrian. I think it's a keeper, warts and all...

Sasieni later changed the town names for several shapes from their 1930's designations.
Despite the fills, that's a nice looking pipe! And, you can't smoke fills any more than you can smoke grain.

Beautiful old pipe that Eight Dot. After the war, a lot of Sasieni shapes were no longer made. Unfortunate, as many were fine classics.
