Question about the Stewmac glue...how long does a bottle last you? Just wondering if getting a few bottles may be worth it.

A 1 oz. bottle should do 100 stems, a drop or two is all that is needed. I worry about the product drying up long before it is use up. The bottle is a quality piece with a very secure and seemingly air-tight cap. It is pretty viscous.

Nope. Ghost is kindly placing an order for some guitar repair supplies, and I'll piggy back onto his order. So we're waiting on mail-order for black superglue. I've made some progress on the pipe, and will post pics once I get a blackberry that isn't p&%sing me off so I can upload photos.
My blackberry is behaving again... stupid technology. Curses.
Anyway... here are some pics of the cleaned up pipe, and the stem issues. Both top and bottom are chewed through in front of the bit. I'm going to get at them with needle files to pull the rest of the oxidation and small bits of material in advance of filling the holes as described above.
FYI - The reaming issue is inherited, I think the previous owner used a very sharp melon baller to trim back his cake.
