I've got a little flutter on Dubois winning by KO or TKO (you never know!). Should be a good fight, but some of the undercard fights look pretty good, particularly Cacace vs Warrington. Willy Hutchinson should also be good to watch.

Probably won't be watching it unless my roomate is. He's the boxing/MMA guy. That said, I've really enjoyed watching some recent matches. I live right on the border between the U.S. and Mexico, and Mexican fighters like Alvarez are huge here, which really surprised me because he recently fought a young man from TIjuana, which is like 15 miles from us, but the neighborhood here was decidedly pro Canelo.... I haven't watched much heavyweight boxing lately. I used to love it, though. I hope it's a good, entertaining fight,

Well, it was an excellent fight, and Triple D payed for my breakfast this morning. I couldn't believe how many people thought AJ would beat him, the poll at the start had over 80% of the crowd for Joshua.

AJ got seriously thrashed, I was surprised to be honest at what looked like a massive difference in skill which shouldn't be the case for someone with AJ's supposed experience.

Then again more cynical boxing fans like one of my brothers will say that we don't get serious fights anymore these day, a lot of fighters being brought up with XX-0 records due to fighting tomato cans, and the moment they go up against another serious fighter it's complete tossup.

He did. I think Dubois is looking really impressive at the moment, but it was easy to look impressive against the AJ that turned up to the fight. Dubois did get rocked by that one good punch, but then look how much damage he managed to suck up in the Hrgovic fight... Dubois still looks like he's learning and improving in every fight, he looks better each time.

I think what you say about tomato cans is definitely true too, but I think a much bigger factor in this fight was ring rust.

I would be really interested to see Dubois fight Usyk again.

That'd be interesting.

I watched the Usyk vs Fury fight, and rooted for Usyk. There's no doubt that there are many stronger men out there than him (and stronger than Fury) but he seems to pull through via perseverance and technique, and a good chin. Usyk has shown he has no trouble wearing down stronger men like AJ, Dubois, Chisora...and Fury!

Unlike many pro boxers, Usyk has 350 fights as an amateur, too, that's a hell of a lot of fights.
