Feedback Appreciated on Esoterica pricing

Folks:
I've got 150 grams/5.29 oz of Dec/2012 jarred Penzance available with a couple of bowls of similarly jarred and aged StoneHaven tossed in as a kicker.
Given all the market pressures, is a c-note request unreasonable? Would I pay it? Absolutely not. Esoterica smokes do nothing for me. But, for those who enjoy their blends, is the pricing that unreasonable?
Two years ago I traded a member here an 8oz. bag of aged SH for a pound of bulk C&D Star of the East. In hindsight, maybe not one of my best moves, but who knew SH would attain Holy Grail status? At the time, I was pleased and I always do my best to keep looking forward.
One last thing, no Socialists or Reds need reply to this post. Your opinions will be privately dismissed with laughter and, ultimately, scorn.

Float it for a C note and see if anyone responds. That's the marketplace talking. You can always lower the amount. People are paying more than that for 3.5 oz of McClelland Blackwoods flake.

Saw an 8 ounce bag of Penzance go for $300 a while back on ebay, so with Esoterica, anything is possible. I'm with Jesse, put it out there and see what happens.

SH is around 190 on fleabay right now. Most others are in the 80-100 range. 100$ is in range.

Go a few dollars high from what you paid for it.
Ex. I've got a little tin of Penzance. I believe I paid around $12 for it. So If I resold it, I'd sell it for $15. Not a huge markup, and not a false market.

the 50 g tins of penzance were going for $60 /$75 on ebay before they really started cracking down and the 8oz varies between $180-$300 depending.

I think a Benjamin would be a good price for that and should sell to Penzance lovers. Might even kick it up to $125 since its six years old.

When I have it, I'll either split it among friends, or perk up other blends with it. My Pembroke will have to be pried from my cold dead hands though, you hear?! PRIED! Mwa-ha-ha! But yeah, $100 is very fair for Penzance.

I’ve probably been to every brick and mortar in a 50 mile radius of where I live and get laughed out of the stores when I ask about those. :laughat:
But to your question, much like others have said, test the market and see. I know I’ve seen them go for over $100 though, but I’m too broke to do so (or I definitely would).

In all seriousness, I’ve been to 3/4 of the ones listed for GA and a several in Alabama.
Also, since I began smoking a pipe in 2010, I’ve been able to buy 2 bottles of Pappy for regular price (sub $100) and I’ve yet to be able to order Stonehaven or Penzance or find those in store. That’s weird to me.
One day though - not gonna give up on it.
I know it’s not the end all of tobacco but I actually do really enjoy both of those blends. Have been gifted samples.

I actually found several pounds of Red Cake in Arizona when that feeding frenzy happened, and have found Esoterica all over the states using that list.
