Jerwyn, not wussie at all. Skip uses a Crossman 1250 in his yard. It actually has more kick than my 22, and it makes more of a cool mess, ha ha. Those hollow point pellets just explode. You can't eat them afterwards, but it leaves behind something for the rest of the rodents to think about.

Cosmic, cool!!! Make an example of these wee rascals! Back during one particularly bad squirrel year, I wondered if I could get .177 pellets with little teenie tiny nuclear warheads... hit one, get 20 maybe! Many of the little criminal miscreants struck too close to our house though... didn't want to risk melting the siding!

I don't want to sound like a wussie... but an .177 pellet air-rifle has served me VERY well against evil and wiley squirrels...

That's what I use. Anything else seems like overkill. Miss a vital shot with a .177 and that flea bitten rascal still has a shot at getting even.
