"It's a method of making mass-market cigarettes. You take tobacco, stems and all, and reduce it to a sludge with a swamp of chemicals, just like making paper from wood chips. It is rolled into sheets, dried, and rolled into gigantic cylinders of "product" to be shipped to cigarette factories. There it is loaded onto an unspooling machine, shredded, and machine-rolled into cigarettes."
WOW! I could never have imagined that happening let alone being legal. The mind boggles 8O
Thanks for the clarification Matt.
Regards,
Jay.

The wrapper of many cheaper cigars (like Black & Milds) is manufactured the same way. They look like thick, brown, homogeneous paper, with no evidence of veins or other irregularities.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.
I recall Mencken, de Tocqueville and John Adams sharing similar wisdom.
I have never smoked Velveeta. How is it? Cooks can achieve the same effect as Velveeta by mixing some mozzarella in with their cheddar.

It needs a lot of drying time...but when you've acquired a taste for toxic sludge the gourmet stuff seems overrated.
