• Forbidden Planet (YES! Don't let any idiots do a remake EVER)
• Galaxy Quest (delightful spoof)
• Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
• The Tenth Kingdom (a fun fantasy mini-series. John Larroquette (sp?) anyone?)
• Doctor Who (all iterations, because I remember what era of television they were filmed during, and I don't care who approves or disapproves of my enjoyment. Least favorite Doctor was Colin Baker.)
I've never been all that fond of outright BEM (Bug-Eyed Monsters) stories.
I've always had a hankering for someone to make a miniseries (or a multi-season series if they can get good enough writers) based on Poul Anderson's novel The High Crusade.
A novella by I Don't Remember Who, The Makeshift Rocket, might make for a good and fun flick. I may even still have my copy of the Ace Double buried somewhere in the house. In fact, some producer ought to go through the entire Ace Double back-list to see what goodies there might be for Hollywood.
