No doubt, you're a lucky duck!
I'm becoming more and more of a hardcore squatter,

I dig the cone bowls plus how gracefully sleek the profile lines are on squashed pipes!

I just love these kind of blasts because they look so organic, almost like fleshy sinew, so intricate and fascinating, and pretty damn rare to come across, especially one this incredibly fine...

Yeah, Peck posted it up above in the original post,

I just cropped it.
Parks got the magic mojo, he has taken the 20's Dunhill style to new amazing heights.
...and I forgot a Gamboni pic so I'll add it here,

the first one I got was a 2013 "putting green" just 5 months ago, but for 2015 he's revamped his grading and has dropped the names and give each pipe a number as he makes them --- somehow I ended up with pipes number 02, 03 and 04 in sequence which was kind of crazy and made me think there's some divine fate or somethin' going on...

They go for pretty pricey so it's my only one and frankly the bowl diameter is a little too wide for my tastes, but I still keep it and smoke it because I really enjoy the shape and look.

What a gorgeous thread!! Blasts are by far my favorite. Their is something poetic about unearthing the growth pattern of the burl: stripping away the softer growth and letting the heartier seasons lay bare.
I love Peck's Parks full bent (the rendering of colour across the grain is just perfect), Sable's Paul Tatum looks amazing and I have no idea how he gradated a sandblast. misterlowercase's Alden billiard and his macro images are fantastic as well and the grain layout on that Brandon Brooks blast is phenomenal!
I'll throw my Alden in to the mix as well because I am in love with it. The relief is just so tight and sharp!

Drezz,

I'm jealous of that Alden!
Mighty fine.
Excellent stainwork too, one of those finishes that may be difficult to capture in all its true glory on film, but I bet in the flesh it looks even more warm 'n deep than the pix can show...
Thanks for sharing.

You are right on point there misterlowercase. Between the intricate blast and the gradation of the stain I could spend hours turning it around as I smoke it! It's also my best smoker by far so I'm glad to do it! I'll certainly commission another Alden when my finances allow it.
I also have to thank chispa, layinpipe, and yourself for suggesting Ryan in the first place! I could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. Best Christmas bonus ever!
