Walking the dog. I take as light a pipe as possible when doing this. I have several nosewarmers and a couple of other lightweight pipes that allow me to breath smoke. Both Condor Long Cut and Old Joe Krantz ( usually smoked in a cob ) are my favourite blends to do this with of a morning.

It seems my pipe smoking fits very well with:

-- My morning coffee

-- A good book

-- A good movie

-- Televised sports (and baseball on the radio)

-- A pale ale, light lager or lively pilsner

-- Lemonade (I have no idea why)

-- Tea (hot or iced)

-- A leisurely stroll

-- Winter, spring, summer and fall

-- A comfortable leather sofa or a recliner
I usually don't smoke my pipe while I drive, make linguini with cream sauce, cut the lawn, trim the hedges, rake leaves, take a nap or get out of a sand trap, especially from a fried-egg lie.

What are your favorite pipe smoking activities?

Not trying to be funny, I actually enjoy my smokes most during a complete lack of activity.
Sitting on the deck early in the morning nursing those first few cups of coffee. Only the birds and myself enjoying country morning air.
Late at night relaxing in a recliner in a dimly lit room, listening to Gregorian Chant.

I think that is a valid point Tommy. To focus on the simple act of smoking for pleasure above the rush of daily tasks. Helps me to smoke a bowl after my Korean language lessons to process what I've learned.

For me, a walk in the woods and up on a hillside for a sit down view with a good pipe and tobacco.
In the winter, the crisp air seems to make the smoke rise soft and sweet.

Only been smoking for a short time, but I would say that in the time that I have been smoking the activities most enjoyable for pipe smoking are:

1) Every evening on the back porch watching the sun go down

2) Walking the dog

3) In the out house at the local park

4) Any spare time I get, e.g., my break during work

Still haven't made time to smoke my pipe while reading a book but I look forward to doing it soon.

Paddling the kayak on the lake during a fabulous sunset smoking a classic Dr. Grabow and some, H&H or CBW.

I like to smoke on the patio or in the rear doorway of my garage. Also when going for a walk or hike. Don't like other distracting things going on I just like to enjoy the quiet art of smoking the pipe. ::

Sometimes I like to have a slow smoke competition to see how long I can make last a flake of St Bruno without any relights. My current record is 18:55 minutes.

After a day of working in the beeyard, I like to take my folding chair, load a pipe with my local B&M's creation, Isabella Woods, and sit back and watch the coming and goings from hive to hive. After 39 yrs of beekeeping, I still sit in awe of those little winged creatures.

I like to smoke while I'm reading, writing, sitting around, thinking, drinking coffee and stronger beverages, and coversation.
Found this out today- I do not like smoking while I'm weedwacking. When I get angry, I guess I'm a super clencher even with no pipe and a fast smoker. My father's weedwacker is a complete and utter SOB. I thought a pipe during would help. Wrong. Only after from now on.
