Well some of these that have been mentioned are damn fine classic albums and I love them too, but some could argue that not all of them are concept albums in the way that I think cosmic the OP had envisaged, but I am not speaking for him, he’s more than capable. I will add a huge endorsement for Jethro Tull’s 1972 Thick as a Brick. I owned the vinyl of its predecessor Aqualung 1971, and a friend had Thick as a Brick. Aqualung was supposedly described as a concept album, which (according to Wikipedia, the ultimate authority in the universe?), absolutely infuriated Ian Anderson, the band’s frontman and songwriter. Anderson rejected the notion and felt Aqualung was merely a collection of songs. So he set out intentionally to create a parody of concept albums and poke fun at progressive rock. Out came Thick as a Brick, containing one continuous track split over the two sides of the vinyl LP. I think it is brilliant and is definitely a concept album. Also goes well with University Flake in a billiard.

I really do not like streaming services because I tend to only listen to albums as a whole. I carry hundreds of gigs of music on my phone just so I can hear things appropriately. So I'll raise the bar (albeit from a time that most of you do not listen). What bands do you have to listen to all of their albums in full and in order to get the whole picture? I have my music sorted by release date and deep dive whilst in the shop. Mudvayne, Mushroomhead, Marilyn Manson, 36 Crazyfists, and Glassjaw, to name a few. Some bands tell a whole story through multiple concept albums. It really floats my boat.
In my recording days, I was the same way. Wrote a trilogy of albums that kept advancing the story, Demoralized, Dehumanized, Desensitized.

I've got unlimited downloads in my Apple Music app. But, I found when first given unlimited access to all recorded music, that it was a bit overwhelming. I still prefer to just enter a song into Pandora and then let the algorithms play things in that genre, so I can get access to things I may not have ever heard before.

When I go to the record stores, and we have about six in Birmingham that has everything newly released on vinyl as well as a huge selection of used vinyl.... I will go in with my bluetooth headphones on to listen to snippets of the bands I am interested in buying an Vinyl LP of, from Apple Music. This way I can make sure I am not getting a total dud, before I get home and take the plastic off. With used albums, I will use their turntables to check for scratches and possible skips.

I mostly listen to vinyl when I am at home with Mrs. Cosmic, or at home alone with no series or movies we are watching awaiting us. When out in my truck, I will kick on Pandora. I've made a few playlists in Apple Music, but I get tired of lists that I made, and I want to hear new things when driving mostly. Unless, I've made a special playlist for a roadtrip or something. But, I don't do that often. We just take too many roadtrips, h aha.

I don't think something needs to be a 'concept album' in order that it be intended to be heard in its entirety. I mistakenly thought you were after albums that hung together so well that they always deserved to be listened to in their entirety, rather than literally concept albums.

But in that case, two great concept albums (nice to have an excuse to add even more!):

The Jam - Setting Sons
Small Faces - Ogden's Nut Gone Flake
