I love the shows made during the 1950's - 1970's mostly.
The fact that many are still being shown around the world many years after their original production speaks well. Many shows today are cancelled before finishing 1 season. Values of the past should still exist today but many producers seem to disagree
I'm 66.
Old shows: Westerns from the fifties/sixties
Have Gun Will Travel- all the actors/writers became superstars
New Shows:
Modern Family.....writing is especially good.
Chicago Fire...night time soap but keeps your attention.
HGTV home renovation shows are informative and timely.
Favorites change as new episodes and shows air, I'm not into re-runs or shows that bring in well known actors for a cameo. Just finished with Ray Donavan, now it's Sons of Anarchy and Black List. A big fan of James Spader since Boston Legal.
I had a feeling you guys would have such great tastes. I have seen Mighty Boosh and I like it. Your not alone. Also as far as the classics are concerned, I LOVE the Honeymooners.
I've wanted to like this show, but it is just not coming together for me. Each episode is too "self contained" for my liking... there is a start, middle, and finish with little to no carryover from week to week. I also find that, other than Coulson, none of the characters offer anything that catches my interest. I'll continue to watch for now, but if I don't see any improvement (from my point of view) then when the season ends that will be all for me.
All in the Family, Mash, Senfeld, Larry Sanders, Cheers, Bill Maher, Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore, Carol Burnett, Johnny Carson, Alias, SCTV, As Time Goes By, Judge John Deed, Coupling, Hamish Macbeth, Ballykissangel, Doc Martin, Kavanagh QC.
